COLLEGES COMMENDED FOR SMOOTH EXAMINATION ADMINISTRATION
The Director of Administration in the Ministry of Labour, Paul Kalilombe, has commended Salima Technical College and Linthipe Community Technical College for the smooth Administration of the December 2024 Tevet Examination series.
Kalilombe said this on Thursday when he led an inspected of the ongoing December 2024 Tevet examination series at the two colleges in Salima district.
He expressed satisfaction with the administration of the exams, citing order as well as good candidature and invigilator ratio.
After inspecting the examinations, the Director, who was accompanied by members of the Ministry of Labour's senior management, interacted with the management and staff for the two colleges, where issues concerning general management of the institutions and students welfare were discussed.
According to the Assistant Labour Commissioner responsible for Trade Test, who also chairs the TEVET examinations Assessment and Certification Unit, Joseph Chirombo, 12,702 candidates are sitting for the exams nationally in levels 1, 2, 3 and Diploma, in 22 trades which include bricklaying, electrical installation, welding and fabrication, Information communication technology and automobile mechanics, among others.
The exams started on 25th November, 2024 and will run through 13th December, 2024.
